Mission Development Certificates provide loans to Presbyterian congregations to build, renovate, expand, and reshape their facilities. Many churches use our loans for:

- Additions, such as new education wings
- Renovations, repairs, and retrofitting
- Land purchases
- Refinancing existing loans
- New roofing
- Pre-development costs for expenses such as architects, designs, and permits
Smaller loans can be used for such improvements as:
- Creating better access for the handicapped
- Technology upgrades such as upgrading audio/visual systems
- New organ or musical instrument purchases
